So I was talking to my friend Jason today.
I asked him if he thought I gained any weight over the winter break.
Being nice and a gentleman, he told me that he didn't notice anything.
Sometimes I wonder why I ask people stupid questions like this...
Anyways, we begun discussing how much I weighed, and I let him in on a little secret...
I set my scale three pounds below zero.
And it works.
It makes me feel a lot better than when I set it to zero.
Why?
I don't know, but as soon as I see the number on the scale, and it's a lower number, I get insta happy.
Stupid, sure. But it's what happens every time.
Try it and let me know how it makes you feel.

Haha, I feel the same way in that whenever I weigh I take off my jeans and shoes (J, my boyfriend, recently stripped naked in a friend's toilet in a weight gain panic attempt at weighing less).
ReplyDeleteI have to say though, I just never weigh. I don't own scales. And as a psychologist-to-be, let me advise you to throw yours out too, before it's too late. Your favourite jeans will do the same job for ya, and when they say go for a run, you go for a run. It's that simple. Anorexia=not good..
I decided to follow your blog as well, to see how do!
hahahahha
ReplyDeleteI agree that anorexia=not good, and I use the jeans method as well. When they are feeling a bit too snug and just completely uncomfortable, it's time to take out the running shoes and hit the pavement.
Thanks for the feedback :)
